Vulcan Completion Products is launching new casing and completion tools at ADIPEC 2026.

The line-up includes new tools to help clients run casing through challenging well conditions and an upgraded system for high-pressure, high-temperature wells. In addition, a pilot guide shoe released last year, which has completed successful runs, will also be on show.

Mark Dundee, Vice-President at Vulcan, said: “Our new tools are designed to help operators get casing to total depth first time, reduce lost rig time and give drilling teams more control downhole. ADIPEC is the right stage to show them, and we want customers to see the technology first-hand.”

The latest range starts with PROBE™: REVOLVER, a hydraulically powered reamer shoe that reams and conditions the wellbore during circulation, removing the need for rotation at surface. Available in sizes from 4½ inches to 16 inches, it suits poor open hole conditions with collapsed formations. The innovation delivers increased torque and rotational speed directly to its polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) and tungsten carbide insert (TCI) cutting structures.

Joining it is PROBE™: A.R.S. (Auto Reaming Sub), which works its own way past ledges, doglegs, bridges and cuttings beds. No surface rotation is required, so operators can cut both risk and rig time, while minimal torque passes into the string to protect casing connections. Once cemented, the sub can be drilled out with a PDC bit, removing the need for a dedicated cleanout trip.

The upgraded PROBE™: MAGMA-SEAL builds on an engineered wet shoe system designed for high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) fracturing operations. In some well designs, it removes the need for toe sleeves or tubing-conveyed perforating, simplifying the completion. The upgrade has been tested to American Petroleum Institute (API) 10F standards at 15 barrels per minute and 18,000 psi back pressure. Options for hot wells are available through Vulcan’s VULCAN-O geothermal range.

Released in 2025, Vulcan’s PROBE™: BORG pilot guide shoe has been welcomed by the market, having completed more than 40 successful runs across Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

A major operator switched to this Vulcan solution after repeated problems with cast aluminium-nose shoes from other manufacturers. The whole shoe was drilled out in around 15 minutes, and total time from tagging the top of cement to a cleaned rathole was five hours, a new record for the operator.

Vulcan has placed its people close to customers. The team covering the Middle East and North Africa operates from Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone, with a dedicated sales manager in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Vulcan is headquartered in Westhill, near Aberdeen, UK. As well as its Dubai presence, it also has an office in Baku, Azerbaijan, serving the Caspian and Turkey, and support covering Sub-Saharan Africa. For North America and South America, it operates from Houston with agents across Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil, and its Kuala Lumpur office supports Asia-Pacific customers.

Ian Kirk, Vulcan founder and Managing Director, said: “From day one, we wanted Vulcan to sit close to the people who use our tools. Having our own engineers, stock and manufacturing capability allows us to respond quickly to the needs of clients.”

Visitors to Stand CN23 in the concourse area can see the tools up close, talk through well-specific challenges with the technical team, and explore how centraliser modelling can lower risk before a job begins. ADIPEC runs from 2 to 5 November at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
