Vår Energi acquires North Sea assets
Vår Energi ASA has acquired 30% ownership in production licenses (PL) 820S and PL 820 SB, north of Balder field in the North Sea. Vår Energi acquired the shares from Lime Petroleum Norway AS, Pandion Energy AS, and Lundin Energy Norway AS (now Aker BP Norway AS) and is proposed as the new operator. The transaction is pending government approval.
Earlier this year, Vår Energi also acquired PL 917 and PL 917B (west of Balder field) from Aker BP in return for reduced equity in PL 956 and PL 985.
Vår Energi is now operator of PL917 and PL917B (40%) with partners Aker BP (40%) and Suncor Energy Norge AS (20%).
