Transocean Norge wins two-well Norske Shell contract in Norway

Transocean won a two-well contract with Shell for the Transocean Norge semisubmersible in Norway.

The estimated 120 days of work is expected to begin in direct continuation of the rig’s previously awarded programs in the country, and the contract includes one single-well option.

Transocean also received final approval from Equinor in late September for its previously announced agreement covering three harsh environment semisubmersibles in Norway: the Transocean Enabler, Transocean Encourage and Transocean Endurance. The three Equinor rigs are among seven harsh environment floaters in the company’s fleet of 27 mobile offshore drilling units.
