Transocean gets extension for GoM drilling assignment

STEINHAUSEN, Switzerland — Transocean has gained a one-year extension to the drillship Deepwater Asgard’s contract in the US Gulf of Mexico.
This is due to take effect in direct continuation of the rig’s current program for an unnamed independent operator, with an estimated value of about $188 million.
