Tidewater bags fresh North Sea PSV deal with EnQuest

Offshore vessel owner Tidewater has secured another North Sea contract for one of its platform supply vessels, with brokers reporting that the PSV Enea has been fixed to UK independent oil and gas producer EnQuest.

The 2010-built vessel has been chartered for six weeks firm from June, with at least four one-week extension options attached to the deal, according to market sources. Dayrates have not been disclosed.

Broker reports indicate that Enea has already worked for EnQuest earlier this year at rates of around GBP12,500 per day ($17,000). Before those fixtures, the vessel had been operating for Aberdeen-based operator TAQA UK.

EnQuest has also recently turned to another local owner for support tonnage. Last month, UK offshore vessel operator North Star fixed the 2013-built PSV Grampian Sovereign to the London-headquartered producer on a longer-term charter. The deal covers a firm period of at least one year, with options that could extend employment by a further two years.
