TAG Oil spuds T-200 well at BED-1 concession in Egypt

TAG Oil spudded the T-200 vertical well at its Badr Oil Field (BED-1) concession in Egypt’s Western Desert on 6 August 2026. The NDC-9 rig is drilling the well, which targets the Abu Roash F formation, a naturally fractured reservoir where nearby wells have produced light crude oil.

The well is planned to reach a total depth of approximately 4,200 m, with drilling and completion expected to take about 60 days. TAG Oil said the T-200 well is designed to evaluate the productivity and development potential of the ARF reservoir at this location within the BED-1 concession.

Upon completion, TAG Oil plans to bring the well into production through its planned early production facility to evaluate production rates and reservoir performance ahead of broader development of the concession.
