Shell Faces Dutch Refinery Strike Vote On Labour Deal Rejection

LONDON – Workers at a refinery in the Netherlands owned by FTSE 100-listed oil & gas giant Royal Dutch Shell PLC are to vote on possible strike action later in March after they rejected a labour deal by the firm, Reuters reported on Thursday.

The FNV trade union will ballot workers at the 400,000 barrels per day Pernis refinery about potential industrial action on March 19 and 21.

The vote comes after a labour agreement proposed by Shell was rejected.
