Saipem wins $160m worth of drilling contracts
Italian oil and gas contractor Saipem has been awarded new contracts for offshore drilling projects in Romania and Abu Dhabi worth over $160m in total.
In the Black Sea off Romania, the company’s semi-submersible rig Scarabeo 9 has secured a one-well contract. Drilling activity is expected to commence in the fourth quarter.
Additionally, the jackup rig Perro Negro 8 has been awarded a four-year contract offshore Abu Dhabi, in continuity with current operations.
