Peterson Energies secures contract to support bp’s aviation planning requirements

Global logistics, technology, and supply chain solutions partner, Peterson Energies, has been selected by bp to deliver aviation planning and scheduling services for the operator’s North Sea asset portfolio.

Commencing November 2026, Peterson will provide comprehensive coordination of personnel on board both fixed wing and rotary wing flights to and from bp’s installations across the UKCS.

Peterson’s team of aviation planning specialists, based in Aberdeen, will act as a focal point for bp’s internal aviation management team, offshore installation teams and the aircraft operating companies. Daily flying schedules will be developed by Peterson, allowing bp to optimise the most efficient utilisation of available aircraft and resources.

Stuart Florance, Managing Director UK at Peterson Energies, said:

“By harnessing our existing strengths in aviation coordination – spanning both oil and gas and offshore wind energy projects – our team is well-placed to support bp in safe and efficient flight planning.

“Looking ahead, as Peterson continues to expand its flight planning capabilities across multiple locations to meet increasing demand, we see opportunities to scale and optimise this service as part of our integrated offering for existing and new clients in both the Netherlands and UK.”
