Masirah drills fifth Yumna well offshore Oman
The jackup Energy Emerger has spud the Yumna-5 well for Masirah Oil on the Yumna Field in Block 50 offshore Oman.
MUSCAT, Oman — The jackup Energy Emerger has spud the Yumna-5 well for Masirah Oil on the Yumna Field in Block 50 offshore Oman.
This is part of a program that includes the workover of the existing production wells, Yumna-2 and Yumna-3. Operations should last about 90 days.
The Yumna-5 well will be drilled at the crest of the structure to drain attic oil left un-swept by the current producers.
