Jbs secures UK and international contract wins across all four divisions

Innovative engineering business Jbs has delivered a series of significant contracts across the UK and internationally over the past three months.

From subsea excavation and blast containment to precision fabrication and screw conveyor installations, Jbs continues to expand its international footprint, with 70% of revenue now generated from overseas clients.

Sea Axe, the company’s patented Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) system, has remained in high demand. Designed and manufactured in-house, Sea Axe uses controlled seawater flow to excavate the seabed, with auxiliary jetting capability available for harder soil conditions, enabling safe operation on live cable and pipeline projects.

Recent projects include cable burial and sand wave correction works in Europe, as well as ongoing operations in South Korea supporting offshore wind developments.

Fabrication activity has also been strong, with Jbs completing bespoke offshore structures, marine refurbishment scopes and the fabrication and installation of a tank cleaning platform.

Blast containment continues to grow, particularly within the space and defence sectors. Engineers recently carried out a site survey in the United States for a leading space sector client, supporting the development of next-generation space infrastructure, while the company continues to assist naval fleets and high-risk industrial environments with specialist protection systems.

The screw conveyor division has secured further awards, including the design, manufacture and testing of ATEX-certified systems destined for Suriname and Norway, alongside a flake ice conveying solution for fishing operations in Shetland.

In addition, Jbs landed a seven-figure turnkey offshore salt handling project in Turkey, covering the design, fabrication and commissioning of ATEX-rated screw conveyors and associated handling equipment for regulated salt discharge offshore. This is due to be delivered in the next few weeks.

Jo McIntosh, Director at Jbs, said: “These contracts reflect the breadth of our capability and the trust clients place in us. Whether it is subsea excavation, blast containment, fabrication or screw conveyors, our focus is on delivering safely to specification and on schedule.

“Our track record across multiple sectors gives clients confidence that we can manage complex engineering scopes wherever they operate.”

Jbs operates from its Peterhead facility, supporting UK-based projects while mobilising specialist teams internationally. With a strong pipeline across all four divisions, the business continues to build momentum in both established and emerging markets.
