Israel set to issue gas, oil exploration tender
Israel was confirmed to be set to issue a tender for the exploration of gas and oil within the Mediterranean Sea.
The gas and oil exploration plan is seeking to import the majority of the energy discovered, the Israeli Energy Ministry explained.
The move is considered as the second try for the Energy Ministry to detect investors of this kind following an unsuccessful attempt last year.
The decision to commence the second round was made by Israel’s Minister of Energy Yuval Steinitz, aiming to help the country become a regional hub in the field.
