GLO Marine appoints Wittlin as CEO

GLO Marine has appointed Thomas Wittlin as chief executive officer effective Q2 2026 to lead its next growth phase.

The company said the move marks a transition from a retrofit-led contractor to a production-enabled marine engineering and integration business.

It added Wittlin brings more than 25 years of experience across shipyard operations, commercial leadership and maritime business development.

GLO Marine noted it is targeting contract scale progression towards integrated EPCI packages in the €3–10 million range and developing a marine integration facility in Galați, Romania.

The company said the facility is 60% complete and scheduled to launch in January 2027 alongside expansion into the Middle East through yard partnerships.

“I have spent 25 years in this industry watching the gap between what clients need and what contractors can reliably deliver,” said Thomas Wittlin, chief executive officer of GLO Marine.

“GLO Marine is in a position to close that gap.”

“Thomas brings exactly what this stage requires,” said Liviu Galatanu, co-founder and commercial director of GLO Marine.

“He understands how shipyards and vessel owners think, and what it takes to scale a maritime business without losing delivery discipline.”

“Your company news doesn’t just get published – it’s seen by the decision makers who matter.”
