EnVen books Transocean drillship for Gulf of Mexico well
EnVen Energy Corp. has awarded the Transocean ultra-deepwater drillship Discoverer Inspiration a one-well contract in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The contract includes options for two more wells.
The company expects to take delivery of the drillship early in 3Q 2022.
EnVen Chairman and CEO Steve Weyel said: “We have several robust prospects to drill that provide tremendous growth potential.”
According to Transocean’s latest fleet status report, the Discoverer Inspiration is under contract with Hess in the Gulf of Mexico until May 2022.
