Two senior figures with Aberdeenshire-headquartered Vulcan Completion Products applied pedal power to support charities in a special event led by cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy.
Chief Executive Ian Kirk and Regional Manager Ivan Bradbury raised more than £1,400 when they joined Sir Chris and other cyclists for Tour de 4 2026.
They completed a 56-mile route around Glasgow – one of four cycling options participants could join as part of this year’s Tour de 4 programme.
The event was launched in 2025 by Sir Chris following his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and brings together people affected by cancer to inspire hope and raise vital funds for a range of charities.
Ian and Ivan’s efforts will specifically benefit Prostate Cancer UK and The Christie Cancer Hospital in Manchester, which provides specialist cancer care to patients from across the UK.
Ian said: “It was a privilege to be part of such a special occasion. Sir Chris is a genuinely inspirational figure, and the sense of purpose and positivity around the entire event was something we’ll long remember.
“We’re so pleased to have done our bit to support the work of two really good causes. Our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to our fundraising – it is hugely appreciated, and will help make a difference.”
Tour de 4 2026, which took place on Sunday 6th September, started and finished at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Emirates Arena. Sir Chris won six Olympic gold medals and a silver.
