BlueNord drops out of Danish North Sea oil and gas tender

BlueNord has decided not to proceed with an application for a mini-tender staged by the Danish Energy Agency for an oil and gas permit covering the Elly and Luke discoveries.

BlueNord has decided not to proceed with an application for a mini-tender staged by the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) for an oil and gas permit covering the Elly and Luke discoveries.

The DEA opened the tender on July 6 following an unsolicited application from BlueNord. The bid round is due to remain open until Oct. 15, although to date there have been no other applicants.

BlueNord told the agency that after identifying potential technical challenges and commercial issues and having reviewed Elly-Luke in relation to other projects, it would not participate.
