Bass Oil Advances 10.42% as Bunian-6 and Vanessa Expand Its Production Options

Bass-Oil

Highlights

Bass Oil has gained 10.42% as the company moves from maintaining a small production base toward adding new operating catalysts. June brought progress on two fronts: the Bunian-6 development well in Indonesia and completion of the Vanessa gas field Acquisition in Australia. Together, the projects give Bass opportunities to lift production and diversify its Revenue base if commissioning and drilling proceed as planned.

June Production Provides the Existing Base

Bass reported total group production of 6,746 barrels for June, averaging 225 barrels of oil per day. Production came from its Cooper Basin Assets in Australia and its Indonesian operations.

The company generated June sales revenue of approximately AUD 561,000 net to Bass, providing Operating Cash Flow while development activity continues.

Bunian-6 Could Add Indonesian Production

The Bunian-6 development well commenced drilling on 5 June. Bass has been issuing regular progress reports and has targeted the well to come online in late August.

A successful result could add production from the company’s Indonesian portfolio, but the final contribution will depend on completion, testing and sustained flow rates.

Vanessa Adds a Gas Opportunity in Australia

Bass completed the Vanessa gas field and Facility acquisition in June. Engineering work is underway to assess and prepare the facility for recommissioning.

Vanessa broadens Bass beyond oil and may give the company additional exposure to gas markets in the Cooper Basin region. Timing and Capital requirements for recommissioning remain important variables.

What to Watch

The key near-term events are completion and production performance from Bunian-6, the Vanessa recommissioning plan and monthly operating updates. Investors should also monitor group production trends and cash generation.

Risks

Bass is a small producer with exposure to well performance, Commodity prices and operational downtime. Development wells can underperform expectations, while recommissioning older infrastructure can involve additional cost or delays.
