Aker BP makes gas discovery in the North Sea

Norwegian energy company Aker BP has made a gas discovery 25 kilometers north of the Duva field in the North Sea.

The discovery is estimated at 1-15 million barrels of recoverable oil equivalent.

Aker BP owns 40 percent, while Inpex Idemitsu, Okea and Harbour Energy own 30, 20 and 10 percent, respectively.

The license holders will now evaluate the discovery’s economic viability and any further delineation.
